“Things happen here like they do there,” I was told before I left, while there. “They just happen more slowly.” And they do. You wait. Stuck in traffic, usually. I managed to make my business cards today. Then I got lost a few times, arrived at a couple wrong addresses, and wound up waiting for a sim card refill at the wrong store (later, the correct one had a “network problem”). One small success came, after which I probably scared one of the first fellow Americans I’ve bumped into, because: “Hi! Who are you? What are you doing here? Where are you from? Here, take my business card!”
